POND SET IS FULLY FINISHED!

The Stones Coming Conscious are now meditating among the other rocks and odd parts of time pieces that have washed ashore.

Shelley Noble said...: Thanks, Don! It's just the light from the window in the shop. I may try to shoot with the natural room light, even though it'll shift during the scene. I kind of like that effect. Plus, it goes with 1/2L. weird approach to time.

Kudos to the NEW YORK TIMES!

Many thanks to writer, Robert Ito, for bringing such a wonderful story to the New York Times of "Garage Animators", those of us working alone, yet somehow not at all alone, in this movement of independent stop motion.

They may be the last major publication to take these sorts of creative topics on. How cool and gutsy of them to showcase the really creative things for a main stream audience. It's so rare that such projects get mentioned in media and it was the NYTimes itself that inspired me to make Halfland all those years back.

Extra Bonus Points for a Half/Word-Pun of some kind. Ask yourself what sort of creature would dwell in an ocean world of a land where everything is half of something else?!
